Bullfighters unite! The Compulsory Dance (CD) at Skate Canada was the Paso Doble, a dramatic and powerful Spanish dance. The U.S.'s Meryl Davis and Charlie White (see left) are in first place with 34.29 points, France's Nathalie Pechalat and Fabian Bourzat are second with 33.90 points and the U.S.'s Kimberly Navarro and Brent Bommentre are third with 31.67 points. It's interesting to see eight couples dance the same dance and try and differentiate themselves. (I also had a bit of a nostalgia moment - The Paso Doble was also the compulsory dance at the 2008 U.S. Adult Nationals in Lake Placid, NY. My videographer and I had so much fun watching the wonderful adults take to the ice!)
