It's an embarrassment of riches! ABC's The Bachelorette and Wife Swap are looking for figure skaters and families who love competitive figure skating. First up, The Bachelorette, where a young lady chooses the man of her dreams in about six weeks. Hey don't laugh! I've seen shorter. According to the producers, they would "love to cast a figure skater." Specifically, someone who competes in, or has competed in, figure skating as amateurs or professionals. Why? I have no idea but if you have "beauty, charm, class and personality" to be the next Bachelorette, and are between 25 and 33, and looking to settle down, contact Sunny at: sunnywillebrand[AT]gmail[DOT]com or call (818) 556-1208. You can also submit nominations at thebachelor.tv. Taping would start in March 2009.
If you've already settled down and your family is ga-ga over figure skating, then Wife Swap is more your speed. If you've not seen this hysterical show, the premise of Wife Swap is simple: For seven days, two wives from two different families with very different values exchange husbands, children and lives (but not bedrooms) to discover what it's like to live a different family's life. The producers are looking for "great families that really love competitive figure skating." Why? Again, I have no idea. But if you're interested, contact Kristen at: wifeswap.kristen[AT]gmail[DOT]com.
