I stopped by Rockefeller Rink today to pick up my skates from my locker. During the month of December while the tree is lit, it's awfully crowded even beginning at 8 a.m. so I switch over to Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers for a few weeks. But yikes -- look at all the construction they did overnight in preparation for the tree-lighting ceremony tomorrow! Literally, this makeshift staircase (see right) has magically appeared. I guess this is where the stars will come down and perform in front of the Prometheus statue (see above). I can't wait to see the show -- Jamie Foxx was recently added to the lineup.
