Vera Wang to be inducted into U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame

At the 2009 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Cleveland, Ohio next month, fashion designer and former competitive skater Vera Wang (see right) will be inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame. Vera will be part of the Class of 2009 and will be joined by Sonya Klopfer Dunfield (World and Olympic competitor and coach), Nancy Meiss (national, world and Olympic judge) and ice dancers Marjorie Parker Smith and Joseph Savage (posthumously awarded). Update: Marjorie Parker Smith passed away at her home in Brooklyn, New York, on January 17, 2009.
