The pairs competition at the 2009 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships just concluded and it's Qing Pang and Jian Tong from China taking the title with a great free skate to tango music. They received 129.34 points and finished with 194.94 points overall. Canada's Jessica Dube and Bruce Davison won the silver with a total of 185.62 points. China's Dan Zhang and Hao Zhang won the bronze with a total of 174.98 points. A bit of a scary moment for Dan and Hao -- He had her in a lift and on her way down, it was touch and go, with her head in danger of hitting the ice. I could hear the audience gasp and the duo also took a few seconds afterwards to compose themselves.
The United States' Keauna McLaughlin and Rockne Brubaker finished in fifth place, followed by Caydee Denney and Jeremy Barrett and then Rena Inoue and John Baldwin.
Final results for the pair teams are below. Note: SP=Short Program and FS=Free Skate
