Which New York City rink has the prettiest vista as you skate around? Can you believe I actually have discussions about this with my friend? She says The Pond at Bryant Park is the best rink to skate in because it feels "very European." I don't know what that means but I counter with Wollman Rink in Central Park (see above). Of course there's also Rockefeller Rink in midtown Manhattan, a new rink that opened in downtown Manhattan, and a few others that are outdoors in NYC. Yesterday when I stopped by Wollman, they had the skaters go clockwise for a part of the session which, visually for me, was a little disconcerting for a few minutes. My eyes had to get used to the path of travel -- it's hard to explain. Thank goodness they went back to counterclockwise shortly thereafter...
Susan, that's a lovely shot an hard to argue against it. You should take a picture of all three and have your readers vote.
