The collegiate teams competed in their free skates yesterday at the 2009 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships in Portland, Maine. Miami University Collegiate from Miami University won the gold medal with a total of 100.63 points. The University of Illinois from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign won the silver with a total of 86.79 points. Michigan State University Team from Michigan State University won the bronze with 85.79 points.
