Yesterday, the World Synchronized Skating Championships concluded in Zagreb, Croatia. This is the tenth year of the competition and Nexxice (Team Canada 1) became the first Canadian gold medalists in World Synchronized Skating Championships history. Team Unique (Finland 2) won the silver, and Team Surprise (Sweden 1) took the bronze. The Haydenettes (Team USA 2) placed fourth and Miami University (Team USA 1) placed seventh. (Last year's champions the Rockettes from Finland did not make it to worlds.) Colorado Springs, Colorado will host next year's world championships.
