Keauna McLaughlin and Rockne Brubaker, two-time U.S. National pair champions, were in New York City last Wednesday to promote the U.S. Olympic Committee's "Countdown to Vancouver - Team USA" celebration. It's less than 100 days to the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics so Rockefeller Plaza was converted into Olympic headquarters to help us get in the spirit. Keauna and Rockne just won the bronze at Cup of Russia and they'll be in Lake Placid, New York this weekend for Skate America. In addition to changing coaches this season, they relocated to California from Colorado and are continuing to adjust to their new lives. Here's my podcast with the dynamic duo.
A very special thanks to Lynn Rutherford, writer for icenetwork, who shared with us the lovely photo she took of them at the event (see below).

Rockne, I hope you get this! You have to get rid of your partner, Keauna! She is horrible and so inconsistent. It was so upsetting to see her performance at the US Nationals, which was the same performance she gave at the Worlds last year in LA. You would have been the best male pair skater at the Olympics. You need a partner that can keep up with you. She looks like a hooker with that stupid hair extension! Come on, please find a new partner! Sincerely, a fan!
