Going to be headed up to the Pacific Northwest in mid-December for a little vacation, as well as scoping out the Olympic sites in British Columbia for interesting stories (sadly, heading back there in February is not in the cards).
If you're knowledgeable about the skating world in the Seattle/Vancouver/Whistler area, drop me a line at susan [at] icedigitalmedia [dot] net or post a comment on this post. Any Olympic hopefuls training in the area? What about up and coming skaters or others in the skating world with whom I should speak? Or anything else that the Lifeskate audience may be interested in? Always looking for story or video segment ideas, and the readers have yet to let me down.

Maybe you could do a story on preparing the Olympic ice rink in Vancouver and the challenges faced by that?

Some ideas: The Robson rink just reopened, you could check that out while you're downtown. Jeremy Ten, Canadian men's bronze medallist, is a local and Victor Kraatz coaches out of Burnaby 8 Rinks.
