I caught up with Tanith Belbin (see below) and Ben Agosto last week at Rockefeller Skating Rink in New York City where they were promoting the Everlon Diamond Knot Collection. After winning Cup of China and Skate America, the duo had to withdraw from the Grand Prix Final due to Tanith's unexpected wisdom tooth infection. The chat forums then came alive with talk on whether she actually was "injured" or whether they were simply looking for more time to refine their programs in order to outscore teammates Meryl Davis and Charlie White, Canadian team Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, and the other top ice dance teams. So here's Tanith's response to all the conspiracy theorists out there as well as an update on their training leading up to Nationals and the Olympics. Oh, and the diamond people wouldn't let me guard her jewelry while they were skating, darn it.

I've decided to give them the benefit of the doubt...under a smidge of suspicion mind you!
Glad the whole 'tooth debacle' is over.
