I know what you're saying, "I've seen Johnny Weir's Poker Face show program before." By our count, we've seen it live four times, including the very first time he publicly skated it during a New York Fashion Week party on February 19, 2009. Always very exciting -- the crowd never fails to get into it -- and every time there's something a little different. When Johnny was back in town (meaning NYC) for a few days between the Nationals weekends, he attended a Lady Gaga concert at Radio City Music Hall, so he's no less enamored with his muse. And then he rushed back to Spokane and skated it on national television Sunday night during the U.S.Nationals exhibition.
So in honor of the first anniversary of this program, here it is from a performance last fall at Stars, Stripes and Skates in Danbury, CT, where Johnny also debuted his 2009-2010 short program (see if you can detect any evolution in it over the months). We even thought about producing a short video with all the differerent performances lined up together so you could see where they diverge. But, alas, only so much time in the day, so perhaps one of the legions of Johnny's fans will take on this project (if someone has not already done it).
Also included for your viewing enjoyment are some photos from Johnny's performance that day.
