As promised, here are some scenes from Johnny's world premiere of "Heartbroken," his new show program for which he did both the choreography and costume. The video of the performance can be found here.
Johnny was the headliner at Ice Theatre of New York's 2010 Home Season Opening Night, which was on Thursday, and this is his first ice appearance in NYC post-Olympics. ITNY also had a show last night and their final Chelsea Piers performance is tonight at 7 p.m. Johnny didn't perform in the last two shows, as it seems like he has decamped for Louisville to attend the Kentucky Derby (or as best we can guess from his Twitter feed). We can only imagine what his Derby wardrobe looks like (pictures please, if you have them). But back to New York. The shows featured ITNY ensemble members Alizah Allen, Ali Blank, Eve Chalom, Angela Chiang, Michael Dionysiou, Kristina Faclo, Andrew Naylor, Michele Forchione, Marni Halasa, Elizabeth L'Heureux, Kenny Moir, Radmila Olshansky, Jiri Prochazka, Kevin Sidwell, Steven Smith and Wendy Wilke. In addition, ice dancers Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre performed their exhibition number Give Me One Reason by Tracy Chapman. We included some great shots from the other performances. More, of course, to come later, including a slideshow and video from Johnny's other performance, Bad Romance by his muse, Lady Gaga.
